 Updates are posted here by 4:00 PM each weekday any time field playability is in question due to weather.

MOST RECENT UPDATE:  WEDNESDAY, MAY 15th 

ALL KEARNEY BASEBALL DIAMONDS ARE OPEN AND PLAYABLE. 

THE SCHEDULED GAMES ARE ON.  The weather situation will continue to be monitored at the park.  If things change a determination to postpone will be announced at the Park, and via text to the Age Group Coordinators, and from there to the team managers.

REGULAR SEASON RAIN OUT INFORMATION

If any games are cancelled due to weather or field conditions, the announcement will be posted on the Kearney Little League website - HERE -  by 4:00 pm on the day of the games.  After 4:00 p.m. weather delays or cancellations will be determined at the field(s).  Umpires and managers will work together in making a determination, in accordance with KLL policies on lightning and field playability factors, with umpires having the final word.  

REGULAR SEASON RAIN OUT GAME MAKE-UP PROCEDURE 

The two rain out game managers communicate with their division coordinator that they have a makeup game and between the three they decide the date and time they would like to play.

The division coordinator will then communicate with the following people:  KPR to reserve and prepare the field, the umpire coordinator to schedule the officials, and the two managers that their game is now officially rescheduled.

PRE-SEASON/PRACTICE WEATHER INFORMATION


Weekdays
:  The Kearney Park & Recreation staff will inform the KLL board of directors if any baseball diamonds are unplayable/closed.  The notifications will be shared at this location by 4:00 pm on the day of any closures. 

Weekends:  The KPR staff will put out signs at the parks notifying of closures due to playability/conditions. 

IT IS IMPORTANT TO HONOR THE CLOSED STATUS.  IF A DIAMOND IS MARKED CLOSED, EITHER BY AN ANNOUNCEMENT ON THIS WEBSITE OR BY SIGNAGE PUT OUT BY KPR AT THE PARK, THAT MEANS IT IS COMPLETELY OFF LIMITS.
